After we’ve been back to Germany around new year to visit our families, we are back in Laos now. The first thing we did back in South East Asia was visiting one of the most impressive cities: Singapore.

In spring I got a lab for b/w film development, than I got me meters of film and since december I have a film scanner. I even tried C-41 process for color negatives once, but it’s more tricky, time and money consuming and in particular more annoying. So have fun with a lot of greyscale!

Today in AiL short: a blog post about an useful but rather underrated thing – at least when you come from western countries to Laos.
This Friday, we finally could work for the project that originally motivated us to go to Laos.
Every year at the beginning of December, many film makers, directors, actors and other film-related people come to Luang Prabang. They meet together with an interested audience at the Luang Prabang Film Festival.
The first one and a half months of our time in Luang Prabang have passed and we thought it’s time to find some new things to do. Luckily, we were able to join a hiking tour with Tiger Trail near Luang Prabang recently. We learned a lot about Lao culture that we’d like to tell you about and, of course, we have some photos as well.
